Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Queztify ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Queztify is an AI-powered quest management application that reframes task management with a cyberpunk RPG interface. The Service includes:

  • Creating, managing, and tracking quests (tasks)
  • AI-powered quest generation (requires your own API key)
  • Google Calendar integration for syncing calendar events as quests
  • Daily quest spawning and recurring quest management
  • Sub-quest tracking

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid email address and password to create an account, or sign in using Google OAuth.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

4. Google Calendar Integration

  • Connecting your Google Calendar is optional and requires your explicit consent.
  • We request read-only access (calendar.readonly) to your primary Google Calendar.
  • We do not create, modify, or delete any events on your calendar.
  • Calendar events are synced and stored as quests within Queztify.
  • You may disconnect your calendar at any time from your profile settings.
  • Upon disconnection, your Google OAuth token is removed, but previously synced quest data remains until you delete it.
  • Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's Terms of Service.

5. AI-Powered Features

  • AI quest generation requires you to provide your own OpenAdapter API key.
  • Your API key is stored locally in your browser and is not stored on our servers.
  • When you generate AI quests, your prompt is sent to OpenAdapter through our server. We do not log or store these prompts.
  • You are responsible for any costs associated with your OpenAdapter API usage.
  • AI-generated content may not always be accurate or appropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and using AI-generated quests.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code, harmful content, or material that infringes on others' rights.
  • Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

7. User Content

  • You retain ownership of all quest data and content you create.
  • You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Queztify and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL QUEZTIFY, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Queztify and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
